This was barely a preview, let alone book 1. I should have known it wasn't a full novel, but it wasn't even a short story. Just a waste of money and time, I feel cheated. I will never buy this author again.
Frankie Black is one of a handful of the Black Opals - woman who can travel back and forth in time to set things right after it's been messed with by the New Order. Relaxing after her last mission, Frankie is getting restless when she is called back for a new mission. Frankie discovers she is going back to one of her favorite times and places--New York to save a rock star.
Dekkar James is both famous and infamous--add in bored and unsatisfied with his life. Being a rock star can only take you so far. He hasn't had a decent relationship in a long time, until tonight when this woman is brought to him and he suddenly feels something in her presence. Dekkar wastes no time in letting her know just what he wants.
Frankie has never had sex with a target before but she can't seem to help herself with Dekkar. Things get hairy when the New Order killers show up while they are still there. Only fast thinking and action is going to save both Dekkar and Frankie. If what she learned is right, Frankie needs Dekkar to go home with her; the question is, will he be willing to leave everything, including his Harley, behind for her?
Who knew that the past could bring a love for the future? Black Legacy is a first glimpse into the lives of the Black Opals--a family of time travelers who correct things that have been changed by the New Order with little thought to the consequences. I had to love Frankie's kick butt attitude in both having fun and completing her missions. I could see where Frankie found Dekker to be sexy beyond words and could understand how he had the same instant attraction. After all, you can't argue with Fate. The quick action packed fight and escape proved that this couple would be one to be reckoned with as this series goes on. Black Legacy is fast paced with action and eroticism for wonderful nights of reading. I can't wait to see where the next sister goes in time and how she finds her soul mate.
